To prevent this, routinely check in and around places where water is flowing through, like toilets, showers, baths, sinks, and laundry machines. Make sure nothing is pooling around in an area you usually don’t check, for example, under the sink. Also, take note of your bathroom floor after you shower and bathe. If there are any leaks in the seals of these things, water will pool in the corners around the holes, and can easily be mistaken for water from your wet hair, body, or something along those lines. Any water left for an amount of time will make that area prone to mold growth.
